Enabling a Central Location for A Robust Sustainability & Recycling Support Program

Our CRDC services manage recycling services on behalf of airports to include:
- Clean Paper from All-Airport Operations
- Used Clean Cardboard from All-Airport Operations
- Consumable Return Items (Bottles, Kegs, Bread Racks, Totes, CO2 Canisters)
- Aluminum Cans generated from Retail, Food & Beverage, and Vending Tenants
- Plastics and shrink-wrap from Retail, Food & Beverage, and Vending Tenants
- Coffee Grounds
Significant Emissions Reductions Made
Due to the highly synchronized consolidation and timing of goods destined to the airport’s terminal delivery points, CRDC operations reduce airport campus truck trips by up to 60%-70% on average.
Hundreds of vendor trucks and vehicle trips to an airport campus on a weekly basis, are diverted to a CRDC. Goods are loaded on to only a handful of Bradford Airport Logistics delivery trucks that in turn enter the secure airport campus.
Dripless Grease Recycling Program
Bradford’s collection and transfer our streamlined process for used cooking oil and grease waste collection provides flexibility and optimal timing for the tenant, through a well-timed pick up schedule and state-of-the-art grease ‘eco-tainer’ equipment. The result of this dripless collection is a process that preserves a clean and safe terminal facility and back of house environment.
Grease Collection Eco-Containers: BAL’s Grease Collection Eco-Containers are specially designed using linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) to safely collect, hold, and transport used grease. Bradford’s solution has proven to be efficient, safe, and cost effective for airports.

Bradford is proud to operate in the world’s very first US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified CRDC facility – located at San Diego International Airport in San Diego, California, USA.
